About Department
A state of art, fully air conditioned computer department has been established in the institute. The institute has its own mail server and web server hosted in the campus. The institute has 480 nodes (increasing shortly to 500) each along with Internet connectivity and equipped with latest software's and hardware. The institute has dedicated lease line with the capacity of 5 Mbps. This department comprises of the various laboratories to offer the latest and front-end technologies in the field of Computer science & Information Technology and enables students to develop the scientific & engineering skills to design & implement computer systems that effectively and efficiently integrate hardware and software technologies
The department has branded computers of Wipro and HCL. Each lab equipped with 30 computers .To meet the efficient utilization of software and hardware on LAN a separate Server Room with latest and high-speed servers has been established.
Department of Computer Science Engineering & IT were established in the year 2008. Initially the intake of students in CSE & IT were 90 & 60 .. There has been a rapid growth in the infrastructure of the department since 2008 and there has been no looking back. Today department can boast of one of the best computing facility in the region. The department of CSE & IT is ISO 9001 2000 certified.The department has produced quality computer professionals. The whole team of Computer Science and Engineering & Information Technology Department is working with a sense of responsibility and dedication to excel and achieve success in this era of Computer Science. The department of CSE & IT offers a comprehensive curriculum from introductory level courses to graduate seminars and projects focusing on critical research areas. Students find a unique set of opportunities available to study for the B.Tech programs. Apart from imparting conventional technical education and rich learning environment, emphasis is laid on co-curricular activities such as conferences , seminars, workshops, debates and quizzes to prepare students for highly competitive job market. The objective of the department is to provide knowledge of modern computing systems as well as sound theoretical background to meet evolving needs of students. Also the department aims at establishing strong relationship with the industry so as to bridge the gap between the academia and corporate sector. Also the department aims at cultivating qualities like leadership, teamwork, self confidence, good communication skills among its students.
